Siopao is a popular Asian appetizer composed of a white-colored bun steamed to fluffiness and comes with a meat filling. In this case, it comes with an Asado as its accompanying key ingredient. Asado is a roasted shredded meat braised in soy sauce, star anise, sugar and oyster sauce until tender and bursting with savory sweet taste
*PLEASE KEEP FROZEN UNTIL READY TO COOK*
Steam: (Time: 15-20 minutes)
- Lightly coat/ spray some oil on a metal steam rack, line the rack with parchment paper (optional) or if you have a bamboo steamer that is best.
- Place in a pot of boiling water, but do not submerge the rack or steamer.
- Arrange the frozen asado siopao in a single layer about 1/4-inch apart on the lightly greased steamer basket and steam for about 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove carefully onto a plate with the help of tongs.
*Cook all asado siopao to an internal temperature of 78°C *
